Multilayer Zirconia is a high-performance dental restoration composed of two layers: a durable zirconia core and a hand-layered aesthetic porcelain surface. The zirconia framework provides outstanding strength and stability, while the veneering porcelain recreates the natural translucency and contour of real teeth for a lifelike result.
With its excellent biocompatibility, high flexural strength, and superior esthetics, Multilayer Zirconia is ideal for both anterior and posterior restorations. The zirconia substructure eliminates the risk of unsightly dark or grey margins at the gum line, commonly seen with metal-based restorations.
- Single crowns in both anterior and posterior regions
- Bridges, including extended-span cases, up to 14 units, when proper design and support are provided
- Severe bruxism cases without protective measures (e.g., night guards)
- Cases with insufficient space for proper tooth reduction and material thickness
Anterior and posterior crowns:
• Axial reduction: 1.0–1.5 mm
• Occlusal/incisal reduction: 1.5–2.0 mm
